Cisco Router Password Recovery

ex) Cisco 2600 시리즈 장비를 하나의 예로 패스워드 복구 과정입니다.

1. 우선 라우터의 전원 스위치 전원 off 시킨후 약 2~5초 정도 기다린후 스위치 전원을 on 합니다. 

2. POST 과정을 걸쳐 장비의 IOS 이미지를 불러오기는 과정중 Ctrl + Break 또는 Ctrl + C 버튼으로

     Rommon> 모드로 진입합니다.

ex)

3. confreg 0x2142 명령어를 통해 복구 모드로 reg 값을 변경합니다. // 0x2102 정상모드. 0x2142 복구모드

4. dir flash: 명령어를 통해 flash 안에 있는 config.txt 를 확인후

5. more flash:config.txt 로 설정된 패스워드를 확인 합니다

6. reset을 통해 장비를 재부팅하게 되면 set up 모드로 접근하는 것을 볼 수 있습니다.

7. show version 을 통해 Configuration register is 0x2142 <-- 변경된 값을 확인

8. copy startup-config running-config 로 NVRAM 에 있는 config 를 불러온다

9. show running-config 로 패스워드 확인

10. 만약 패스워드가 secret로 설정 되어있다면 no enable secret 로 패스워드 제거 후 다시 설정

11. Router(config)# <-- Global 모드에서 config-register 0x2102 로 정상 모드 변경

12. show version 을 통해 Configuration register is 0x2102 <-- 변경된 값을 확인

13. copy running-config startup-config 로 설정 내용 저장
